A Blessed Child
Inte vilka föräldrar som helst....
Kritiken är mestadels berömmande:
"While Ullmann’s sentences, smoothly translated by Sarah Death, are a pleasure to read and her deft modern sensibility is winning, the deeper drama at work here is missing some crucial, potentially painful connections. Strategically, it makes sense to glance at Isak (man läser gärna Ingmar Bergman även om karaktären Isak är gynekolog...) indirectly instead of head-on. Who dares look straight at the face of a god? However, thematically and emotionally, the novel suggests that a grave charge will be leveled at Isak, a move the novel also resists, elides and elegantly avoids."
